An Amber Alert was issued yesterday morning in the Salt Lake City metro area for a 7 year old Burmese girl who had been in the country less than a year. She had been missing since Monday afternoon. The police canvassed the area, volunteers searched as well. At 7pm, the police asked the volunteers to stop searching. By 10pm, there was a press conference and the South Salt Lake police chief announced that they had found the girl in the bathroom of another apartment in the same complex where she lived. Sadly, she was dead.
Her family had emigrated to the US from a refugee camp less than one year ago. Now they have to deal with the irreversable devastation of losing a daughter, and a sister. She was so young.
