TGIF, guys and gals...  What are your plans for the weekend?

I am going to go spend some time with friends tomorrow at a little Mystery Event in the group just to the south of us.  Should be relaxing.  The hubby has to work so he will miss another event.

It is funny how things as simple as an Iced chai latte made at home can evoke all sorts of childhood emotions - in this case memories of my mom making tea and making me a cup that was mostly milk and sugar, and sometimes an ice cube if it was too hot.  She liked spiced tea.  So the chai tastes a lot like that.  I didn't realize it until I offered to share my chai with a coworker, and she said she hates chai because she doesn't have such favorable memories of her childhood tea with her grandma.  This whole thing made me miss my mom.  She lives in New Zealand, so we don't talk much.

Background noise ATM is a History Channel show called American Eats.  This episode is about ice cream.  I just found out Haagen Daz was never made in Europe.  A purely American invention.  I feel ripped off.

I spent some gratuitous butt watching time in Costco this afternoon.  I had finished my shopping and was enjoying a mocha freeze at a table where I had a view of the customer service desk.  There was a nice looking young man who was wearing what, in my opinion, are a properly fitting pair of jeans.  Not too baggy, definitely not the droopy gangster-style pants, and not too tight either.  It was pleasant viewing for a little while.

Sunday needs to be dedicated to household organization.  The stuff has all escaped again.  The hubby has a corner of the living room that he has excavated from the chaos so he can get to his gaming books.  The SCA projects are stacked all over the rest of the place.

Does anyone know where I can find a fairy godmother who is really rich and likes to clean?  I need someone to pay for our large dream house, and to keep it clean.  I am currently accepting applications.

Erectile dysfunction is a personal problem.  Can't it stay that way?

Between the hubby and me, if we were ever to be really desperate for money, all we would have to do is have a big ebay auction.  Between his gaming habits (d&d, warhammer, etc.) and my fabric and craft stuff stash, I think we could make enough money to live well for a while.  Not that I ever want to get to that point, but it is nice to have a backup plan.  Oh, and then there are a lot of books, some of which are actually worth some cash.

I think I need to up the renter's insurance again, now that I have said that.  If you rent, and you do not have renter's insurance, you really should.  It is well worth the extra $8.00 or whatever it is that I pay on top of my car insurance bill.

I firmly believe I need to do a better job being responsible for my actions and words. But other people don't do it either, so it is not my fault!

I need to go finish making the Swedish Meatballs with fettucini and the asparagus that are going to make up dinner tonight.

Ciao, bellas.
