life craziness

liife is interesting.  

My Crown withdrew Artemisia's acceptance to be a principal Kingdom at Estrella War XXV (2009)  Done deal.  Quite frankly, I am somewhat relieved.  Now we can go to the war, do our thing, and not feel obligated to do more than is possible.  Now I am wondering what will happen next. 

I talked to the officers of my Barony at our monthly meeting tonight, and they said they would support putting in a bid for Known World Heralds and Scribes in 2009.  Now I have to find a date and a place in a hurry :)  Salt Lake City has lots of options - the problem is going to be to find a date and the right space.  There are possibilities for side trip options to the Family History library and other things like the super cool Salt Lake Main Library.

I have scribal assignments and sewing projects galore.  I need to clean my garage, and my house.  And there is a local day event this weekend.

Thank goodness the 24th of July is a state holiday, and I get the 25th off too.  Four day weekend to regroup and figure out what the priorities are.

OHHHH   and I am going to figure out what can be done for my left eye.  I have a condition called keratoconus, which is basically a horribly misshapen cornea.  I am legally blind in that eye.  I have an appointment with Dr. Hoopes (who is considered to be one of the top eye surgeons in the country) on Thursday to talk about my options.  My friend Danny, who had the same condition only in both of his eyes, has said great things about his surgery experience there.  So I will know what can be done, and it could be a lot of options up to and maybe including corneal transplant.  I am actually encouraged that his clinic is known for having the latest treatments available, so we will see what happens.

several of the people in my office have been to Dr Hoopes, and the reviews are all good. I am contemplating using his office for my lasics because I have a mishapen cornea as well
